TEXT BY MICHELE SALIMBENI, PHILOSOPHER AND FILMMAKER.
“Elijah Aaronson's series of photographs, dedicated to childhood, is a work of rare delicacy and beauty. Inspired compositions, incisive black and white lights and shadows, colors that reproduce feelings. A symbolic mise-en-scène that restores the light-heartedness of a Mark Twain's adolescence to which the photographer returns all his vitality and her joy. Thanks to a perfectly mastered technique - and her intuition - Elijah puts in value her models and the landscapes in which she portrays them. In one of her photo, for example, thanks also to the use of double exposure, a feeling of peace emerges (the girl's posture), and also the essence of the nature (the mirror of water). Both lead us to the idea of prayer.“
